Frasier was a staple of late-night reruns during my early-aughts teenage years. So I've seen a lot of them and know the characters well. Yet I think it would be worth a re-watch. I enjoyed it at the time but suspect that there were mor

It's surprising that Code, by Charles Petzold, didn't make the top 50. That's one of the most approachable books out there for learning how computers really work. I see a lot of mentions of Code on HN but maybe that is skewed

Its surprising that a neighborhood 20 minutes from skiing isn't heavily populated by skiers. But maybe your neighbors are hitting groomers at 10:00 AM on Tuesday while you are seeking out backcountry steeps on the weekend.

If you leave your 1:1's with no thought beyond "what did the boss say to everyone else" you either have a terrible boss or an even more terrible Machiavellian corporate culture.

Every time I have tried baklava it was so overpoweringly sweet that I could not manage to finish even a tiny piece. The sugar/honey overwhelmed everything else. So count me as one that agrees with baklava being "boring".

AUM: "Assets Under Management". Why does that matter? Why is 10T too much? It's a big number but that money is ultimately under the control of the individual asset holders (so far as I understand it anyways).
