Surely no going to the mountains. Coast needs to be taken to prevent launch of any boats of mini-subs for minelaying. Of course, preventing drone launch will require capturing entire country - Shaheds have 1500+ km range - that isn't a

While there is a massive US advantage in space launch, it should be used to the maximum. It's not going to last forever (while perhaps, sufficiently long that China fizzles out demographically before it's gone).

It might be a good thing to resolve the crisis - just take over entire coastline to some depth where the first easily defendable natural barrier occurs, throw all locals out of there and make sure no one can infiltrate - then threat to ship

Quite the opposite. A lot of obviously innocent people ending up in jail will have created a massive backlash a lot earlier, helping fixing idiotic legislation.

Maybe this is a consequence on improving pregnancy care and natal care, i.e. higher number of children surviving that would in the previous decades, have died, and as a result, a larger number of weaker, sicker adults living?

Why not in Delaware?

Now this is almost entirely automated anyway, there is a big adult ecosystem here in Cyprus and i talk to a lot of people. No manual work is used there anymore, "chatters" are a thing of the past. Now they are well on the path to

Maybe the message behind it is exactly that "growth is not the same thing as hiring crowds of people and having them do low-impact work"?

It's really strange to me, as a non-American, why isn't this solved. Is there some political problem preventing that? Just remove all of them off public sight. Use public cameras to detect bums, and remove them instantly. Very soo

Main question here - are you a male or a female? Advice will be totally different.

If AI makes people so much more productive, why aren't there much more apps on the Apple store? Mobile apps involve a lot of dirty, boring scaffolding work which AI automated first thing, 2 years ago easily. It should've been the

It was my belief since many years that nuclear run out of runway a long time ago. It seems to be true even for 20-year old projects such as this, but is even more so for every single nuclear project if it starts today, in any country. Hinkl

I just recently hired a guy who did excellent job on the interview, easily answering every question. Interview was over video so there was no way he could cheat. Then he ended up utterly incapable when working and had to be fired, frustrati

Wow it looks like people really didn't realise just how bad the overhiring was in 2020-2023...

It's also timing. Before new production hits the market in 3-6 months, prices will fall again, and they will be holding a massive bag.

Why?! If oil price skyrockets, US just becomes richer. It's not what it was in 2008. US is the world's largest oil producers by far and one of the largest net exporters. So economy wins one way or the other, or petrostates won&#x2

by anovikov 8mo ago
It's easy, why investing into production if oil price spike is caused by a single, temporary event, not something structural? That money will be lost if invested in production because it means producing crude with high marginal cost (o

Well... the world doesn't need Iran to be anything or do anything. We need it to not be a lot of things though. I don't think we lose anything even if it goes completely to hell as long as it will no longer be a problem for others

I think it's mostly the denormalisation of this. Indeed someone just randomly striking a conversation with a stranger will come across as a psycho or a creep. No one wants to be perceived that way.

What's wrong about it? This is the goal - like in Syria: neuter the country by bringing in a pro-American government that will ensure country will stay weak and irrelevant, in exchange for letting it terrorise locals as they please.
265.
by anovikov 8mo ago
Well, in any case, it is a guarantee that Iran will be less of a danger for other nations if the regime falls, and that people inside of the country will suffer - because either pro-Western or any other government is bound to be a lot weake

It must be something different from radiation. There literally no way in the world a normally operating NPP could be a radiation hazard.
