If intel get on a smaller node that would benefit these wide registers energy wise. Like early AVX2 also would downclock, and run hotter. Its one of the reasons the VZEROUPPER instruction exists so the hardware can power down the upper half

So it looks the first round of supreme court actions along this regard I was thinking of started with: Lanzetta v. New Jersey, 306 U.S. 451 (1939) Thrown out for being too vagure However, later cases like: Robinson v. California Powell v.

The heck what are the down votes for. The government cant force someone to buy housing first. Its one thing to criminlize littering or sleeping/tresspassing on other peoples property. Its a whole an other thing to criminalize the act

What!? I hope your joking. Firstly, you cant legally force someone to have a home without violating their rights. Even if you force someone to have a home you cant force them to use it. Also what differentiates someone who is homeless vs go

If its natural why are we arresting people for 7kg. 7kg of unenriched uranium is nothing to worry about. If they had many tons and were planning on enriching then maybe be concerned.

The radioactivity even from enriched uranium is not much of a concern. Take a look at the half life U-238 and U-235

The article does not even say what the ratios of the isotopes are. If it was depleted or uranium with an unenriched amount aka natural amount of trace U-235. Its not really any problem. Heck they make boat keels out of depleted uranium.

I dont understand the point of these. Framing is one of the fastest parts to build. Its mainly everything else that takes the longest. All the finishing work that takes much longer than framing. Also that 2nd floor looks like traditional fr

I think the bigger problem is W3W some how got a patent on basically using a fixed pointed number (aka fixed size grids) as a look up into a table. Nothing is too complicated or really innovative about using bits to look up words in a table

I still don't understand how this company managed to get a patent for what amounts to using coordinates to look up words in a table. It's also not the first todo this, there is prior art. For example this person was asking about w

Making a language more expressive at risk of making bugs less obvious is not a good thing. The goal with expressive syntax is to make code easier to read/write, not deceive the developer. Also C++ does not have a faster runtime than C.

I hate how people group C with convos like this. Sure it has problems, but does not have any to the insanity that C++ can, let alone hiding it like C++ can. There is a reason people jokingly say C++ can blow your leg off, while C is just a

The hardware still will not run any software that is not signed by apple. So even if I wanted to run linux on the device, I can't. The software EULA is not the problem. It's how they are controlling the underlying hardware.
