It is scary, but it already seems more stable and backward-compatible than Deno. With some testing and further stabilization, I have a feeling bun might be a much more feasible and beneficial move.

I think some creators pursue products as ways to fund their passions. For example, was deno deploy always the endgame or is it just a way to fund working on deno? Aside from motivation, how it's implemented and how it affects the commu

DigitalOcean's App Platform is still a bit immature, but I think it has the most potential to be a heroku-like experience.

I think you've got number 3 backwards. GraphQL is a generic query solution that is harder to optimize than an endpoint that was built as a one-off for a front-end use case. Endpoints designed to support a specific UI view or operation

I’ve never understood the window tiling complaint. While MacOS doesn’t have tiling built in, it’s readily available for free. Are there features that aren’t available in those applications?

This is spot on, for me. The compiler and runtime are attractive, but the missing language niceties are an annoyance.

Only semi-related, but I've recently started using https://www.meilisearch.com/ . It's relatively limited, but works great for small use cases. It's also pretty easy to operate. I'm hoping as it continues

Why can't you use TypeScript with node? It's not built in, but it's easy enough to use by building or running it with ts-node. Also, once you are using TypeScript, you have import syntax support. Deno has chosen a different p

The commenter you replied to did provide a fair correction as far as the right layer to be comparing. They didn't specifically suggest that Nest.js (started in 2017) is as mature as Rails (created in 2004) or Laravel (created in 2011).

I don't think that self-documenting code is a myth. That said, I think the benefit is that it can reduce the amount of commenting needed. That, in turn, has the benefit of being able to read (and understand) the code more quickly (in t

If you have any network connectivity or are physically together the repo could be shared. So as long as one person has it cloned you should be fine. It’s the same as making sure people have a printed copy. Depending on the run book, it may

It feels like they’ve been slowly moving towards a touch-friendly interface on MacOS. I’m not sure if they intend to have a desktop OS that truly supports a touch screen or if it’s more about slowly merging iOS and MacOS in general.
