Please don't insist that "leftist fascist" is a thing. Sorry that people don't react with perfect civility to your uncivil attempts to create an ethnostate. That doesn't make you a victim.

The backlash is not devoid of logic and facts. Again, a shitty argument does not merit a thesis on it's shittyness from everyone who dismisses it, and there are plenty of in-depth critiques that you would've sought out if your age

Most people don't agree with the contents of the memo, or it's conclusion. But HN is filled with a specific breed of pseudo-intellectual that I will happily poke fun at whenever possible.

The state doesn't censor speech. Hate speech laws (in the US, anyway) aren't very strong, for example the Supreme Court in the USA didn't rule against the Westboro Baptist Church or even people burning crosses on black family

Both political extremes are not the same. Getting fired over a creepy manifesto that you chose to make public isn't censorship, and not a threat to your "rights".

Some people may have reacted that way. I think you're very intentionally trying mischaracterize people rolling their eyes the same way they always do as some sort of ignorant knee-jerk reaction. I read the memo entirely. It was half-ba

I meant to respond to the response someone else made: It's not a debate to be won. Some people just keep insisting it is with this cloying, sweaty desperation. It's embarrassing, and it's awful that these Silicon Valley ghoul

I don't see how actively having to manage the volatility of your currency is "liberating" or a "lifesaver". I'm also not sure who or what would normally be restricting your spending, I live in the US and have o

It sounds like you're describing normal banking + massive volatility. How is that a lifesaver or particularly liberating? And what do you actually buy with Bitcoin? Also curious: is there a debit card that you can back with Bitcoins?
