Do you have any examples of these jobs that are now more vs less productive? I'd say the average Starbucks / fast food worker are significantly more productive while making less comparatively. Labor's share of income vs capit

That's very clearly untrue. There are plenty of studies showing this is not the case. Almost all workers are significantly more productive but wages have remained flat for a long time.

Wow! Gotcha! Turns out modern economies are complex. Who knew? But our economic system is literally grinding to a halt, which means it's not exactly perfect. I for one welcome suggestions, even if they're only slightly less imperf

The DirectX graphics debugger in Visual Studio is a godsend. It lets you analyze ever call and check every buffer for any "snapshot" of a frame you take. Very easy to identify things like misaligned data, etc, that would be imposs

I started a DirectX (so, HLSL, basically identical from my understanding) and C++ project about a year ago. I hadn't worked with either, but managed to get a little window up and running within a weekend. That was mostly thanks to some

This is meandering, meaningless point. I have no idea what you actually mean here. How exactly do support groups for women in STEM tear at the fabric of society? How does it do so in such a way that actively excluding them doesn't (via

I've been in enough of these conversations to know replies like this are just trolling and/or white-noise. Why NOT separate yourselves into an "us" vs "them"? Why should oppressed people try to "work toget

Haha, a friend took issue with my wording on freedom as well. I was talking about relative freedom within a modern society, whether it be free market or otherwise. As for the point on constitutional rights, etc, I was being a bit dramatic.

You're right about the Japanese constitution being written by the Allies. Without Allies defeating Japan, though, they'd have taken over large parts of Asia and could very well be more prosperous / free than they are now. I d
