This looks more like rules for C development. In order to make reliable software in C (which is honestly pretty brave to begin with once you get past a certain complexity treshold).

Depends on how many people just refuse to ever click such a video on principle, or never start a youtube subscription so long as the thumbnails are like that. All you need to wait for is for that group to be bigger than the group of people

I don't mind continuous redesigns or small tweaks. I like it when products and apps I use subtly but constantly change. Form and function are one, it's not form over function if it's done well. But for YouTube I wish they rea

Doing audio-to-text requires having a statistical model for what word or phrase a piece of sound is most likely to be. Without context, you can't do better than ranking the most likely candidates where a common word is more likely than

Something I find annoying with automatic transcriptions and summaries, like the one built into Teams, is that they lack the context necessary to properly interpret what's being said. Example if I have a meeting discussing products, abb

Yeah I’m aware the interest rebate is just a rebate like any other but the cost of such rebates is much higher if the baseline interest is 4% than if it’s 1%. The difference between 0% and 2% is as expensive as the subsidy between 7% and 5%

A lot of this was down to the huge sales of the Model Y in Europe in the past year or two with subsidized loans at rock bottom rates. The lowest I saw was 0%. Obviously today that's no longer the case. Also the MY is due to be replaced

Can you elaborate? Outside of AI workloads, almost all computations on GPUs are single precision. Double precision is pretty rare, and smaller precision is mostly useless outside AI (and obviously irrelevant for trig precision)

Has there been any company that has laid off even a nontrivial amount of programmers and replaced them with AI? Here I mean, where developers at said company actually say the process works and is established, and the staff cuts weren't

I wish there was a good way of knowing when an if forces an actual branch rather than when it doesn't. The reason people do potentially more expensive mix/lerps is because while it might cost a tiny overhead, they are scared of ma

There is only one way to respond to this. You just do not comply with this. If you are Apple you withdraw from the UK completely if necessary. But a better option is probably to just take the punishment for not complying while you appeal. T

Yeah I think programming is both ”thinking about what code to write” as well as actually typing it in. One can’t meaningfully separate any steps like ”design” or ”architecture” from programming.

That you must design the system before you type it down as code. Once you make the wrong assumptions or wrong abstractions no amount or skillful coding can save you. You risk solving the wrong problem perfectly.
