  When a feature is both conceptually flawed and technically unworkable, the real question is why it still shipped. Engineers typically push back—unless job security concerns make silence the safer option... And when the decision-maker can also steer the narrative...say...by mobilizing downvotes...The outcome is predictable. :-))
