Just a search engine you go to. I was already paying a VA to trawl through most of the sites that it scrapes so using it saved me a few dollars a month. I'm quite sure there's a paid service at a similar sort of price range to what you're d

Great post. I'm in London and started freelancing a few months ago and I'd agree with everything you've said. Only things I would suggest: * Contracts. Watch this talk by Obie Fernandez[1] and take a look at his Master Services Agreement +

Based on this comment I think it's possible that vim isn't for you and you would probably be better suited to something like Sublime or TextMate.

And intimately related, distance. In Kendo at least you win or lose by knowing where the cutting part (the forward 1/4 - 1/3) of your sword is going to be at the moment you make contact. This means thinking strategically about distance (e.g

While I am an atheist and do believe that evolution is the origin of all biological diversity on Earth, I think it's monumentally important that traditional theistic beliefs and evolution be reconciled.[1] Before making the jump, I had no p

They totally exist. My dad (an Epidemiologist by trade) didn't believe in evolution. He also wouldn't agree that gravity is the force that holds celestial objects in orbit around each other. People can be funny like that...

As a species we haven't had that long to get used to the idea. I hope sincerely that we will have all the denial out of our system in a few hundred years time.

This comment sounds exactly like the sort of thing you would read in an 'Agile Project Management' book. I think it's just fashionable to rail against agile now, when we've already incorporated all of the good stuff into our processes as th
