Well, it’s the main functionality of the app, it records loops. What would you expect it to do?

I really can't figure out where all the App Store money are going. I'm selling Lunar on Paddle and the average transaction there is $19.21 (from the $23 baseline price). So they're taking on average 16.47% and that's inc

I wish there was a Swift framework that would implement all the App Store goodies, so I wouldn’t have had to write this article in the first place. The framework could be configured using Paddle vendor/product IDs, Sentry DSN, Sparkle

Thanks for the compliment, I guess :) I wish I could have kept the simplicity of Lunar 1.0 ( https://www.producthunt.com/posts/lunar-5 ) but the monitor controlling domain is full of edge cases. When you also add some au

Oh man.. I wasn’t aware the design is that bad. When I launched M1 support in Lunar, István Tóth which was using Lunar at the moment, dedicated a lot of his time to port Lunar’s solution into MonitorControl. He also created the Big Sur-esqu

Yes, it’s unfortunate. I wasn’t aware of Luna Display when I launched Lunar in 2017. I still get emails from people calling my app Luna Display, although they clearly use and have an issue with Lunar.

Yes I haven’t touched Rust in a while. When I was working on an embedded project with it, Atomic Booleans weren’t so easily available from what I remember.

Yep, I feel it's the best of both worlds between subscription and one-time purchase, while also supporting the dev when a high-effort upgrade is needed. I've done the same for Lunar ( https://lunar.fyi ) but people were

Indeed, I forgot about that part... I think all of my requests to Spotify have been done on behalf of authenticated users. But I guess you could authenticate with your own user to lift up the limits.

The data comes from Spotify, so I guess we should ask them :) But in my tests, the pitches seem to be averaged so only the dominant key is reported.

I looked into that but there was no information on frequencies. There’s pitch but that only cares about in which key the frequencies are concentrated (e.g. it tells you that this part of the song has mostly C pitches but not if it’s C2 or C

I’m serving everything from the Spotify API directly on Noiseblend ( https://noiseblend.com ) and rate limit has never been a problem. When a request fails because of a rate limit, Spotify responds with 429 and a Retry-After heade

The data comes from Spotify’s Track Audio Features API. [1] [2] I believe this data was imported from the EchoNest project when Spotify acquired them [3] and it’s possible that algorithms have improved since 2014 but not all old tracks have

I'm exactly at a point where I'm considering SQLite for its single file db advantage, but I'm struggling to find solutions for my use case. I need to import some 30k JSONs of external monitor data from Lunar ( https:/&

Could I easily import 30k large and arbitrarily nested JSONs into Airtable? I'd love to have something with an easy to use UI for filtering that can also be shared.

Any cheap powerbank will do. The Pi Zero W never uses more than 2A of current which is within a recent powerbank possibilities. Something like this should be enough to keep it running for a few hours: https://www.amazon.com/
