Once again, the hackernews crowd shows their embarrassing lack of security understanding. Every time security stuff comes up, the comments are just cringe. "Durrr fuck M$." Eesh.

Back in the mid 90s I was teaching myself QBasic and basic electronics. Realizing I could combine the two via the parallel port on our PC was a magical epiphany that I'll never again experience. Being able to "pull" programs

When I see people start discussions like OPs, my first reaction is always, "Ah, you've just started paying attention to the news. Yeah, it's always been like this. Welcome to the world."

What an absurd take. The author asked it something extremely theoretical, with no actual objective correct answers, it gave reasonable answers, but the author disagrees, so it's no good? What?

Yeah I agree. I had an ex that listened to mental health podcasts 8+ hours a day. It's all she'd talk about. It became pretty clear that she was addicted to mental health in a way. Her entire life revolved around grief and trauma.

Nope. You’ve clearly never worked in IT. There is no perfect solution. And the closer to perfect you get, the system becomes harder and harder to use, maintain, and modify.

No, that's impossible. No one would want to start a business, ever if you could just be wiped out because some vendor's vendor fucked up. If you want that, then we need like a free tax funded federal MSP.

Alright, sure. But you need to prove negligence. It's impossible to write perfect code right? You really have to prove whatever breach/error happened wasn't on purpose and wasn't due to gross negligence.

It depends on the body of water and the DNR has guidelines for this. This isn't remotely news, it's fear mongering. Places with PFAS are generally port rivers and industrial zones. People don't fish there (or if they do, they

You're expecting way too much. Have it give you a list of functions needed to write battleship. Then have it write the classes. Then set the rules. Then have it write a GUI etc. You'll have a much more successful encounter that wa
