I worked as a project manager for a telco construction company years ago and learning how to set up road constructions signs and warnings and whatnot was almost like learning a programming language. There are so many rules dictating how and

This is missing the forest for the trees. Everything you mention is just regular old programming and fixable. The impressive part is the internet compressed into 4GB. This is just the beginning and progress is going extremely quickly.

I feel like the people who think ChatGPT is pointless, unusable, boring etc, don't really get it. If you need to know a hard fact, just Google it. GPT will tell you what to look for. For example, I needed to learn about Slack chatbot

No, it’s true. Death by drowning in a riptide is a 100 people a year in the US. That’s almost literally nothing.

The externalities to switch the US over to electric are going to be massive compared to any benefits if there even are any.

For real. This is an absolute non issue, not even in comparison to anything else. There are tradeoffs for being a human. We need heat to cook. A few ppb in your home of whatever isn't shit compared to, idk, walking next to a fucking ro

That's just ridiculous. Most public beaches are perfectly safe.

by alar44 4y ago
No it isn't the same for everyone. So what you do is: if you're gaining weight, eat less. If you're not, you're good.

Everything is a derivative of everything. What is art school? They derive their skills from other well known artists.

Nothing is being copied. If you understand how AI models work you'd realize that's impossible considering the model is a few GB. How could every piece of artwork be in there? It's not a database lookup.

By the very definition of having a clock, yes.

by alar44 4y ago
I don't know about that. Stress is a fuckin killer and it wraps it's tentacles around other areas of your life.

One is regarding your bullshit post, the other is a statement of fact.

Yup. I also don't understand what language is either, I'm just following the patterns I've discovered via... learning.

I was tasked with designing a "dunker" years ago. It dipped a basket into a basin containing a solvent. It only has to move about 3 feet, but I found that since the endpoints were hard physical constraints, a hall sensor tripping

Probably the timeframe. If you get 3 inches of rain in 12 hours, that's 6in/day. If that's all the rain you got in 3 days, you got 1in/day.

by alar44 4y ago
No it doesn't. Where are all the articles and stories from the last, oh idk, couple hundred years about how everyone is miserable at school? Sure, no one likes homework, but if you've ever been in a school, most people are having
