Thanks for replying directly. I have; I've used Gerrit and Phabricator (which also does inline comment draft keeping) a lot, and I've clicked around Rietveld. I just never have seen much use for the comment draft feature; keeping

Aren't jamming devices of that type illegal, as discussed elsewhere in the thread? And isn't what Cisco is doing by even manufacturing a device with that capability illegal, or at least cause for the FCC to ban its sales in the US

Spoken like someone who has never had to maintain a large production system. This notion is handily disproved by the market, though. Red Hat and Canonical enjoy commercial success and mindshare precisely because they provide stable long-ter

I'm not sure what this article is about. At a minimum it is misguided. I don't think anyone is seriously arguing for abolishing time zones. Also, while zoneinfo is great, it doesn't help with the more serious issues that aris

The argument about computing power and CO2 pollution is misguided. HTTP/2 no longer requires encryption, so the TLS/non-TLS trade-offs remain the same as before (and their compute impact is mitigated by hardware AES support, etc.)

We saw busted PMTUD on a customer's network trying to get to us via a misconfigured network link. It's a bad problem to debug. None of us knew what PMTUD was, or that TCP can require ICMP to work, until that day.
