The possibility of it being thinner simply means you can maintain the current size and increase battery size. I think phones are obviously too thin already as evidenced by the thick covers covering nearly every one of them.

Dolphins also rape each other and kill baby dolphins. That’s hardly a justification for what humans should and shouldn’t do.

This makes sense. The counter argument would be that war is a competitive endeavor. So if you do have chips that are 2-3 generations behind what your opponent has access to they will try to design weaponry that takes advantage of this gap.

I thought it was common knowledge that a formal “performance improvement” program is no such thing. I bet companies do have some who succeed in these programs but that’s almost certainly to cover the fact that the only reason these programs

I hope you’ve done an actual sleep test to confirm your sleep apnea has improved. Snoring is a useful but not 100% correlated marker for sleep apnea. It’s very possible to improve snoring without reducing the sleep apnea itself.

In-n-Out tastes basically like McDonalds. I don’t understand the people who rave about it. There’s very little difference other than the fact that they have a “secret” menu with their own coded language.

Remember how MS wasn’t doing all this shit 5-10 years ago? It was thanks to the EU regulations on MS. Now that the limits on that had ended MS is sinking to new lows. So next time an Appleoid tells you how the horrible EU is destroying inno

It’s always mattered. People have been trying hard to get social media companies and govt officials to pay attention. Because Swift is famous and because AI is involved they (and places like HN) are finally paying attention.

If it wasn’t for government regulation Microsoft would have wiped out Apple before the 2000s. Apple owes its existence to Microsoft’s fear of regulators. So yeah, every penny of its trillion dollar market share is thanks to government regul

The Apple apologia anti regulation response to this comment is ironic because without anti monopoly protections Apple wouldn’t even exist right now. Microsoft bailed out Apple with an investment entirely because of anti monopoly regulations
