Meh, this assumes that there are no other ways for innovators to build businesses than running google x. In fact, most innovations do not come from here. OTOH, a lot of innovators fail to make businesses, so, I think you can't draw muc

Well, you were the one who grouped them. The reality is that EVs wear tires equivalently fast to other similar weight vehicles and wear brakes very very slowly. And reduce carbon emissions. And noise.

I’m happy that at least one thing is working. To go from 94 in the wild to 2000 is a good trajectory. Does anyone know how they manage the genetic diversity problems?

The reason I’m not as doom and gloom as this, is because it happens with every single cycle. Over promising and underperforming is basically every tech that comes to enterprises, because no technology helps people agree on what to do, what

I agree with you 100%. Remember RPA? Well...it's really telling to me how 5 years on from that hype cycle, stuff still isn't automated. Where I am maybe a little more cynical than you is that I'm not sure anyone in corporate

A core issue here, though, is that contracts add a wrinkle into the "automate everything" approach. Often, it is the clients themselves who resist adopting the automations proposed by the outsourcers. It's why, when businesse

In the surveys I have run on this topic, enterprise tech buyers are split on the issues. CEOs and line of business execs definitely want to see revenue, but almost no companies think of themselves as having successfully made any money on AI

Important to distinguish a spiral cut from a spiral ream. It is entirely possible to chip/drill/chisel a hole, and then to ream it out with a spiral tool.

its so interesting that in Likert scale surveys, I tend to see huge positivity bias/agreement bias, but comments tend to be critical/negative. I think there is something related to the format of feedback that skews the graph in ge

I agree with the meaning and the premise of your question, but, pedantically, it is not always a good idea to go out and admit how effective a secret program is. Think about it in the context of national security and foreign policy - e.g. &

Pay! Expert interviews can be had through expert networks. I know it’s a hustle to get free ones, and worth it, but you could go to GLG, Coleman, ThirdBridge etc and just pay for interviews if you need them done. An interesting alternative

I agree with you, but what I was getting at was that if you're just going to print the parts for the entire run, you aren't constrained by the issues like draft, etc. Obviously, if your run is 10,000,000 pieces, then you have no c

They also ignore making the mold, so I guess that evens it out? Mold tools are very expensive and commit you to a lot of design constraints as well as lock you in to minimum production cycles that make sense. I agree its not fair, thought.
