The new order includes several approved low risk activities and transparent indicators that will be used to gauge safety to further reopen. Is there something about this you don’t feel is backed by science?

Security implications are always good to point out, though this is not unique to webGPU at all. Some fingerprinting techniques don't even require enabling javascript.

As long as Apple makes great products, the truth is that people will support a monopoly. I always think of the Microsoft-IE antitrust debacle as karma for making a truly horrible product.

There’s an interesting meta-phenomenon here. I call it automation handcuffs . A platform grows massively due to radically eliminating the policy and bureaucracy infrastructure that others have (YouTube vs typical content distro channels).

Bootstrapping is indeed the truly grueling and rewarding way to run a business. Unfortunately, on this point the financial interests of YC and the broad hysteria of the startup dream are against you.

Isn’t that the very problem with Facebook, that it wants to impartially serve content like a telco, but partially control the content like a newspaper?

Lovely piece, though there is a significant section missing about when in a business’s lifetime these rules should start applying. Most of the business functions (like support calls) should not be automated and doors should be kept open, as

Agreed, perhaps it is more king-like to _not_ need to know where everything on your plate has come from. In that way, perhaps these coffee ‘blends’ that are so plebeian to the modern taste would be considered the most elevated to aristocrat
