I like this question but I think is hard to answer because “it depends” :) I might want to learn something to get a job, I might want to learn something to make something easier… But lately I’ve been leaning strongly in learning because I’m

It’s the access and control that it gives me! As when I’d pick Go because I was doing some concurrency, I can now explore a bunch of concurrency libraries, including some implementations that look a lot like Go channels. Want to watch a fil

With the woes of string.h being known, why not just use an alternative like https://github.com/antirez/sds ? I’ve also been having a blast with C because writing C feels like being a god! But the biggest thing that I l

I’m quite excited about this! Janet looks like a nice small, embeddable, fun language with a lively community! The documentation and site felt like a close-knit community of insiders, which I wanted to become one of them :) hopefully this b

Thanks for this! One of my frustration with tools nowadays is that they aim to be so "user friendly" that actually make things complicated and thus understanding how something works, which allows one to be more productive with a t

I love this project and generally agree with the idea that art is up to the viewer. At the same time, I believe that artist have can often have a unique ability to see/perceive reality in a way that escapes the general population, and

I relate to this so much! What I’ve been enjoying A TON lately is embedded development for hobby. Not Arduino, but bare metal, flipping registers and configuring devices in a STM32, writing linker scripts and scripting gdb. It feels awesome

For me it comes down to happiness. I find it meaningful and enjoyable to solve problems for others. I remember reading in Give and Take by Adam Grant about how the happiest people volunteer around 100h per year. With that said, I think that
