There's almost as many ways to make a modern website in 2023 as there are developers of modern websites. You'll find plenty of opinions in here, and I of course have my own :) You can still write websites using the technologies y

Everything in EVE Online takes time. Presumably, they wanted to do it at a time where no-one is likely to notice it's happening, so the victims don't have time to transfer assets out of the corporation before the new CEO gains po

1,000 shares is the default amount of shares any newly created corporation has, and iirc you need to transfer them to yourself if you want to protect your enterprise. So it wouldn't surprise me if there were indeed only exactly 1,000

That's not accurate at all for me. I'm not impressed with the output when rating it against humans who are good at said task. It's obviously not as good as those who are good in that relevant field. But it's certainly

Sadly true, which leads to a conundrum when trying to get inside the test-giver's head: did the test-giver notice this intricacy of the question and therefore I should give the clever answer, or did they not realise and therefore I sho

One of my kids had the same sort of quiz/test given, but he and his friend had a concern with it. When I read it, I was inclined to agree with them that it doesn't work the way the writer intends. Presumably, each question contai

I’m more interested in text models. So much potential there. I was fascinated by the person who hooked up a Siri shortcut to one of the openai models, asking it to return a json response. I think with a little imagination the potential a

That game really deserves a sequel, with the same cast of characters. Beyond Earth tried to do generic leader personalities, and it suffered as a result. The unique personalities of the original cast were a large part of the game.

I realise it may not be possible for many people due to their organisational requirements, but I think self-hosting is a great option when possible, and the backup story is great with pgbackrest. Easy to upgrade when you're ready.

Yep, this is ordinary conversation for most of the time. It's a bit strange to make yourself aware of it, but you have an idea or thought you want to express, and the sentences come out in a semi-automated and coherent fashion. I thin

I do much prefer the look of new reddit, but the performance is painful. I don't see why you couldn't have a nicer looking UI, but with the performance of old reddit.
