No, but it's a terrible analogy. The equivalent would be if Toyota started selling only left-hand drive cars in Japan.

If it’s being controlled by Tokyo, why do they keep censoring Japanese games but not Western ones?

If you have fully reproducible builds, and if it's from the same commit, then it's probably okay. With multiple branches in play, and staging built from a different branch than production, the latter doesn't hold.

Building for staging from the production branch would be fine. Grandparent explicitly said they build for staging from the dev branch, though.

Production shouldn't have its own branch - it shouldn't even be a new build at all. The same binaries that were deployed to staging should be redeployed to production once you approved. Otherwise, your "staging" environm

Depends on which borrowing you’re referring to. Japanese uses it like the original French to refer to anything animated, then it was changed when English borrowed it from Japanese to refer specifically to Japanese animation.

You can still keep playing the games you bought. You just can't buy new ones.

Assuming by SNES you mean Super Famicom (since there’s no way a shogi game was going to be localized!) - it did release. The NES port was cancelled, though.

There was a Super Famicom shogi title that did exactly that, Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shogi 2 .

"Dependable relationships as they age" and "someone to ensure they're cared for" aren't things potential parents should assume any offspring will be willing and able to provide.

That's a recipe for a generation of kids warped and broken by being raised by parents who only see them as a cash cow. It's a terrible idea.

It was about availability for future recordings, not price. If cost was a concern they wouldn't have had Nolan North rerecord all of Dinklage's existing dialogue, just replace him going forward.

Tomb Raider Anniversary is from 2007. I wouldn't count it as an indication of how capable the GPU still is.

Microsoft tried a hard break before (Windows RT), and developers didn't show up. They need this so people are willing to buy the platform and increase the market enough for developers to start doing bespoke ports.

Yes, some of them do. “DisplayPort++” ports support passive HDMI converters, while “pure” DisplayPort outputs do not.

Last I checked those converters do not support HDMI 2.1 features like VRR. If the end output is HDMI 2.0 you might as well skip the middleman.

Insurers used to make their money that way. But now that US health care insurers are required to use at least 80% of premiums to pay health care costs, they've lost the incentive to keep prices low. Increasing their profit now requir
