I’m in the same situation. I find the learning curve for FreeCad to be steep. And once you get the hang of it a little bit, you start running into bugs.

You say that this is different than a software product, but you don’t explain why. You didn’t buy a GPU, you bought a consumer class GPU promised you the advertised consumer class features. Why do you expect it to give you professional cl

Why would you be upset by that? By lowering the price for an entry version, customers who otherwise couldn’t afford the full version still get the option to use a feature reduced version. (See how I framed that?)

> One "CUDA core" is indeed one GPU thread. This is not true, just like a shader core with AMD was not a GPU thread. For example, the 2900 XT had 320 shader cores, but since it used VILW-5 ISA, that corresponds to 64 GPU thread

Is that it? According to that definition, the first FP32 unit is not a core either... But, again, if you want to blame someone for this terrible, terrible marketing travesty, start with AMD. They started it all... My point was simply been t

Mortgage rates in the US are much higher (though still low by historical standards) than in Europe. You can get a pretty decent house in the Bay Area for $1M in areas like East and South San Jose.

With 20% downpayment, a $30 year 800K mortgage at 3.75% is $3700/month. That's $44K per year. Not impossible on $150k yearly compensation. And even easier if the family is dual-income on top of that.

Whatever the reason may be, the fact that Apple used Nvidia GPUs until 2015 at least debunks the endlessly repeated theory that it was because of the broken GPUs of 2008.
