Not sure exactly how it works, but it gave me the thought that making collecting ads into a game could be fun. For example there could be competitions for getting specific ads (the most expensive loan, the weirdest health treatment, and so

From what I have seen I really despise Big Bang Theory, but I loved HPMOR.

I have to admit that stories like that definitely factor into my travel decisions. From the outside, the US looks like a very scary place. Perhaps it is all just overblown media stuff? But for the time being there are also other nice places

Can you at least drink beer once you are in the army? I can only imagine being in the army without beer could be very, very difficult.

I think you are probably not open minded enough to enjoy it anyway, so in your case I'd recommend to skip it and sticking to something with more complicated words and more obfuscated and mysterious messages that allows you to sustain y

I only looked at it briefly and also wondered about that. If it's not open source it doesn't make sense.

Not sure how art schools in the US work. A friend of mine who went to art school in Germany used it to build his network, which then enabled him to survive as an artist. For example there were lots of "students of year x" art exhi

I can actually see myself enjoying this, for example outputting some cat pictures to soothe the pain of debugging. Is there an overview of all the memes? I feel like I could update my internet knowledge a lot through this. Edit: I put up a

I think one problem is that we tend to think about this in terms of willpower. To be awesome, all we have to do is really want it and work really hard, right? I suspect in reality it is much more about habits. Example: write a book by writi

It has been shown that monkeys are willing to pay for porn, too (or apes or chimpanzees or something, can't remember the exact differences).

At the end of the day the ads hurt my brain. I don't think you can really block them out mentally, as you claim. Can you block out really loud noise, for example? I don't think the brain works that way. You might think you blocked

I don't think that's the lesson at all. Even a feed reader that charges 5$/month is more likely to go broke than Google. Charging money doesn't guarantee success.
