From reading the title, I assumed they wanted to make me handle all Errortypes explicitly. However, they just want to replace this: try: risky_operation() except: handle_any_error() with this: try: risky_operation()

the more significant downside than cost is speed, with your DDR5-5600 ECC having most likely a latency of 16ns, while DDR5-7000 non-ECC 12ns (10ns if you are only interested in Column Strobe) is available for your platform, which has 25% mo

I would love to put ECC in my Desktop computers, however its more expensive (ok), is not officially supported on most Desktop Motherboards (and in reality does not work in "ECC-Mode" on the majority of them) and finally: ECC Ram a

sometimes I am still sad that I switched to VS Code 6 years ago. The multi-language-spell check feature (plugin) is still better implemented than in any other editor or smartphone I have seen. Same for multi-line editing (native to npp).

"Few people buy a K processor who aren’t interested in overclocking and tweaking." The opposite is true: Most people who buy a 'K' CPU dont do any tweaking, I would bet a majority does not even activate things like XMP.

To be pedantic because its fun: The random access Latency for L1 is indeed ~4 cycles, but RAM is more like 70ns+ (so you are .5 order of magnitude off, how dare you?). These are my notes from an Anandtech article: RAM:

I first learned about Bitcoin in a Podcast in ca 2011. They described Bitcoin as pseudonymous (not anonym) and how all transactions are public for anyone to be seen. Weird to continue "busting" that myth in 2013.
