1980s stereos used them a lot. IMO they’re the best looking of the older display technology. As the article mentions they’re power hungry and complex-ish for displaying multiple words. Ends up being done as a 9 segment style or preformatted

I’ve worked for 2 big oil and gas firms. I don’t care much about checking agile boxes. I went from being damn near employee of the month to short list for being let go when those companies started to live and die by “agile”. I’m about 50% t

Totally agree- I also think that the Beatles did a great job of changing and staying the same. They would change their styles but still have the familiar great harmonies/melodies. To add to your point, each of them had at least somewha

First, good on you for trying to make a difference. Second, without painting with too broad of a brush here I would say that depending on the size of your organization this is the exact wrong layer to complain to. The VPs can be in the spot

Quanta seems to have a particularly bad habit of implying a conclusion in the title and then not really getting to said conclusion in the article.

My question is this- if one were to build a trading bot that bought and sold along with something like this- 1) would it be legal 2) I’m curious about the returns vs the market.

I like how you worded that. I definitely have my moments when cynicism takes hold and I lose most desire to do anything creative or productive. I normally power through it and double down on walking and running. It’s not a 100% fix but it c

It would seem to me that if you are sick or your health is suffering, several things can result: 1) you dont have the time or energy to consider what the (authoritarian) leader is doing as carefully (cognitive) 2) you may just be too tired&
