The other biggest example of PHP usage I can think off is Wikipedia. Whilst PHP is considered dated now and the language has many faults, you can't critic how easy is to get started (drag drop files in a directory and you're done)

IMHO is a downstream maintainer is going to change a package in a way that doesn't have the intent of the upstream project, it should be published under a different name and that maintainer deal with all bug reports caused by their mod

An issue is that they're sold as a way to stop your ISP tracking what you're doing. But why would I trust a random company with this information over an ISP, who yes aren't always angels, but at least are somewhat accountable

Because in this day and age on Fedora, there's practically zero difference between sbin and bin. You could separate it I guess correctly between system-only bins again, but you'd break existing software that's hardcoded sbin
