No at that point they'd be saying "zomg NPM has a terrible bug that allowed the hacker to bypass my 2FA!" If someone is trying to redirect blame they'll always find some way to do so.

While I can agree with the accessibility stuff usually, depending on how the feature is abused ... some of these arguments are pretty weak. For example, for a lot of people the CDN and WAF are now bundled together and completely transparent

It’s convenient to just have a phone number be the piece both sides know. It’s not as magical if you need to also give your AppleID to every single contact manually, and if you have some sort of Phone Number to AppleID lookup service it’d b

Then the problem is: “You’re leaking your Apple ID to everyone in your contact list!” or more, depending on how exactly they’d plan to distribute Apple IDs to everybody else. The hash of the phone number thing is to provide the “contacts on

In a way they already are "charging less" for the middle seat, in the form of paying money to select a seat. I think in the past 15 times I've flown I've always gotten the middle seat unless I pay to select a seat.

There's an entire ecosystem that surrounds sideloading apps that are not in the app store. They're not all developers or technically inclined people, it's a very easy thing to do and can be done on any OS. Developers can dist

Having dealt with a number of interactions like this, it definitely felt like the user was trying to lead the support staff into a pothole. Its just the way the questions were asked.
