Microsoft went the opposite way with the Ribbon, but then went the same way with the Windows 11 right-click menu.

The new Volkswagen ID.3 has the same issue. Would be great if it had some more physical buttons (although it already has more than a Tesla).

There's a beautiful song by Vienna Teng called The Hymn of Acxiom[1][2] that covers this nicely. It's in the form of a hymn sung by the data collecting machine itself. It starts off like a message of love and reassurance, but the

I'm still using mine. I want a small phone and there's literally nothing to upgrade to, even on Android. The iPhone 13 Mini looks okay, but is still a bit larger.

The original 2016 iPhone SE is still arguably the highest performance small smartphone ever released as well. Good thing it's still supported because there's nothing to replace it in the same or smaller dimensions.[1] [1] Here&#x2

My personal hot take: Folders are just heirarchical tags. Tags are just non-heirarchical folders. Both can be compared to programming classes, with subclassing representing folders (key negative: Can't inherit from multiple parents), a

The Samsung DigiMax V4 camera did it right in 2003. Comes with a high capacity custom rechargeable battery, but no need to find another one if it ever starts to wear out - you can use two rechargeable AA batteries instead in the same batter

I've got the opposite problem here. I like showing all the active icons (although I also try to keep them to a minimum) and Windows 11 removed the option to always show all. Now any time you install something with a new icon, you have

Yeah, I use this feature constantly. I have e.g. wp to search wikipedia, im to search imdb, di to search dictionary.com. For anyone else on Firefox, there's no need to go through a search engine or install anything. Just follow the ins

I do think I'm still missing something, because if I wanted to travel the other way, from O'ahu to Marqueses Group, I should be travelling south-southeast. But I don't see how that can work out on the Tupaia map.

It took me a while to understand what they meant by "north is in the centre". Here's my understanding, but correct me if I'm wrong: - Compare the Tupaia map vs. conventional map shown in the middle of the article. - On t

There was a feeling when playing the PS1 like everything was being pushed to the limit, only just under control. Textures swimming and popping and little gaps appearing in the world as you explored it. Much like saturation on an audio track

Hi, thanks a lot. To answer your questions: > You're looking for an x86 (Intel/AMD) OS. Correct. > 32-bit or 64-bit? 64-bit - assume a relatively modern laptop as a target platform. But 32-bit is fine. I'm sure I wouldn
