I could see a claim for emotional distress based on believing you had won this life changing thing. But on the other hand, anyone can buy a fake winning ticket to prank people and I’ve never heard of a suit moving forward for that. Course,

I’ll tell you what the market is. Parents rocking babies to sleep at night. My daughter will get very mad at me if she wants to sleep and I touch the laptop. She couldn’t care less if I put on the AVP.

Oh look, it’s that last nudge I needed to go ahead and move my home stuff to HyperV. Suppose I could fire up proxmox but meh, I’m already too familiar with HyperV for how much my clients use it.

I mean… I use 123321 in a number of places for “pointless” accounts that realistically have 0 blowback if ever compromised. In that sense, these short generic passwords being popular makes sense. If I have to take 90 seconds to make a new a

It’s perplexity.ai, which is what Arc started pushing recently. YMMV, I asked it some technical questions and got responses back which were far too generic to act upon. Might have pointed me in the right direction for a Kagi search though i

Unless you’re willing to pay out for something like proofpoint or edgewave, you’re probably looking at 365 or GSuite having the best native filtering. Though I will say I have very little spam issues with mailbox.org, so it’s a bit to do wi

As a 365 admin, I’m not aware of a single policy to track or manage your device through the authenticator app. Past that though, you should have the option while setting up to click that you want to use a different app than authenticator. T

Very interesting. I don’t see any links on the site (could be that I’m using mobile and not desktop) related to a privacy policy. What happens to files after I upload them as far as retention or potentially being read through by humans?

More devices still do than you might think. Had someone needing access into an Android phone recently. Wireless attacks proved easier than wired for that one. It broadcasted its list and from there was just a matter of spinning up SSID’s un

This likely had nothing to do with your Mac specifically. All wireless devices basically broadcast a statement out for anything to hear which goes like “Hey, here’s a full list of every SSID I’ve ever connected to, any of them available rig

I love it, but it’s not an answer to normal people yet. The 0.01% of us who know and understand encryption, cool. But getting ready for the main world? Bitlocker lets people click a button and walk away. Administrators make a few small chan

This is interesting, but there’s not near enough information that I’m seeing on the site to make me trust it. There is one line about data not leaving the device. Does that mean this is basically a PrivateGPT instance bundled into a nice “y

For the Maui sirens, there’s actually an argument for not activating them. From my understanding, the sole purpose of the sirens is to warn residents of a tsunami. Residents are trained to run into the forest in the mountains when they hear

I have a hard time calling the first flaw a design flaw. VPN clients are geared towards the average person. The average person wants to be able to print a paper to his/her printer while connected to the VPN. Though I could definitely s
