  I always thought was an old wives tale. So it's not a myth? I must say it's never worked for me when my light bulbs stop working.

    Yes, the very important detail left off was needed to be 'on/off' rebooted. The boolean off by one error. TZDATA reboot is not a recognized clock cleaning method.
