That actually could be a pretty good reason. If ARM now have an identical China firm with identical IP and design, what ARM really worth? That could actually be a(nother) case study.

I agree with you. 90% of making things is mainly knowing the “general workflow” of dedicated tools and iterate as fast as possible by building a dedicated pipeline. Low level graphic programing is still a thing and it would be a lie to say

I loved jEdit for the time I used it. It was my favorite text editor before switching for dedicated IDE with integrated debugger. Highly configurable and responsive. I wrote a tiny blog post about my technical supervision [0] and puts a tin

Such behavior can be a good thing, but you could fall in your own bias thinking you know the problem better than them, to finally realize the problem outpace your scope and you are just impacted as anyone in the room. It happen for me once,

I have the same feeling. I would love to know if a builder object can be zero cost and if it could actually write assembly code the same way as if we would have passed those arguments manually.

> Are there better ways It's a question of taste, but the builder pattern can be considered a “better way”, because of how clunky the use of Default can be. You would prefer an API with easier to read, documented builders than the .

Direct for sure, but not rude. Someone want a modification to be merged and push a lot of template code giving a 3 line PR explanation. This kind of situation comes often in OSS, specially in C++ project and I wouldn't be surprised if
