This isn't an agile startup here, it's one of the world's largest software companies. I think aiming to do a lot isn't a big stretch.

Why is this news? Of course they log mail for law enforcement, that's a no brainer! This has nothing to do with the NSA fallout and the fact that it's being framed as such is just silly.

You may be speaking too soon. Let's reserve judgement for after we know the details.

It's pretty poorly done sarcasm, as many others didn't believe it either, asshole.

"Is it sexual assault if I do that to my girlfriend of 5 years?" It is if she says it is. That's the whole point, you don't decide, the circumstances don't decide, only she can decide.

EDIT: Apparently the OP was being sarcastic, and I failed to read deep enough into the ASCII characters. But if he hadn't been sarcastic, I would've still said what I said below. What the hell? I had to read this over 6 times to m

But it looks like it still is :/ Stocks are complex creatures. Jumping to conclusions often ends up leading investors into trouble.

Locked out is definitely way too strong of a phrase. "Make it less comfortable to use" is a bit closer to truth

As a developer in Windows org, it pained me to see secure boot be so widely misinterpreted by the public.

I highly recommend using the 1 hour transition time instead of the instant one. It feels much more natural as your screen essentially dims as the sun sets. I've found that it's quite pleasant on the eyes.

As a big chat room user, there's something that bugs me about this. I think that one of the main reasons the chatroom hasn't changed in so long is because it's so simple. You connect and begin chatting. It looks like this idea is putting a

It's actually about services. By having services like Xbox music, video, and live come bundled with the system they're trying to increase subscriptions and purchases. Ads no doubt will play a role but this article exaggerates it.

They actually switched the Office interface into a 'touch friendly' mode that spaces out the buttons quite a bit more to avoid missed touches. Speaking as a Surface user, this works but is definitely missing some elegance.

I wouldn't doubt it. I think that Apple's going to move to control the entire stack from bottom to top.

Welcome to the life of an early adopter. It is a bit buggier than we'd like, but you know we'll receive updates before the year is up that will address a lot of the problems. I do wish that it could've been shipped with higher performance,

iOS/Mac OS and WP8/Win8 are much more similar than Chrome OS/Android. The disjoint between the latter two is much more pronounced.

We, as a collective community of tech industry members, have put it to bed. But that isn't at all true on the consumer side. For example: In one of my classes today, we were talking about how we're going to be taking our exam online. We com
