I had multiple typos. When I made these comments I was coming off a 40.1 degree fever and was laying in bed with my phone when I saw this post. I wrote some hand notes too and they're even worse. The same word is spelled incorrectly in

You'd think it would be a hot take but I had someone arguing against me that it's not a good indicator since only approx 20% of competitors get a PhD in Math. I felt that he was emotionally invested in his argument, likely due to

I was having a discussion recently in another forum where I argued that success at a Math Olympiad is a good indicator of future success. I'm not surprised to see in the slightest he won a gold medal at 16.

Two reasons. The first is that women tend to just like babies. Female friends want to hold a baby but male friends almost never do. Women get "clucky" around them, etc. The second is that when my youngest was 6 months old I felt n

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it's not hard on mother's too. I meant that they seem to have a better hormonal reward system with babies. Mother's seem really happy cuddling their little ones and adult women tend to enjoy

Babies aren't meant to be fun. I became a single dad when I had a baby and a two year old. Honestly, I don't think most men are wired for doing this role. The 4-5 years that followed were very difficult for me mentally. I was soci

I think I can vouch that women don't factor appearance in as much, at least once they get past 25 years or so. When I was younger I was nearly invisible to women. I ended a LTR of 7 years at 30 and the tables had turned significantly.

You can't rely on odds after an event has happened to determine probably. I could shuffle a deck containing 1000 unique cards and then look at their order. It's astronomically low that this order occurs but it did happen.

Here in Australia the streaming options for music/video are better than our previous options for CD's/cable. A three month subscription to Spotify costs less than a single album would cost me 20 years ago.... not even account

That might make more sense. If you have two integers in the same approximate range you might expect the upper halves to look similar.

In Australia, our cyber security laws are very strong. There is no way I'd attempt to access services on random IP's to test if they use no password with common usernames for those services. Any semi compotent prosecutor could arg
