Get-there-itis is absolutely a thing. No big airline would be dumb enough to say it that stuff explicitly but the pressures still exist. There have been accidents around the world where pilots were trying to save fuel, get off work at a nor

Do I think it realistically would? No. Do I think they want to risk it at all? No.

At a certain point things get so engrained the cost to switch would be huge and the benefits don’t (seem to) outweigh it. I think switching to metric would make far more sense than this.

Even if most people never use it, they already have everything they need. And they could market it as a big feature. Basically no one knows Samsung Dex exists. They could be the ones to bring it to the attention of the mainstream. I like th

I hadn’t even thought about that. I don’t think I could do a phone without MagSafe again.

Ah. Renting is you pay $X a month and when the contact ends everyone walks away. You don’t get the thing back, the other party does. Leasing is close but slightly different. You still pay $X, you still don’t own it and can walk away at the

They still had other presenters at those. Let a video do the big reveal and overview then let the people talk about details or do demos. I don’t know exactly toy. But there must be something with a little more life.

I know the early ones were really bad. My impression is I’ve stopped hearing about them failing all the time, so I assume they’ve gotten decent.

I don’t think Apple will ever do it. I personally would like to see the phones behave like iPads when connected to screens and mice and such. I don’t need it to pretend to be a full Mac. But we all know they’re on the same OS at this point.

I think there were rumors going even higher since Apple is so often a premium priced product. Matching their top competitor in price is a good look. They could’ve absolutely floored everyone if it had been $1500, but there’s no way that’s p

They had two. One it appears to snap on magnetically, I think the other might have had too small hinges on it, but I didn’t look very hard, and it wasn’t on screen long.

That impressed me too. Be if those “Apple touches” of yore. I kind of wonder how well it works in person, but it’s nice that it’s there at all.

Lots of people. There’s a reason folding phones have been a big story for years. Maybe they only sell to 5% of users but they sell and at top prices, meaning more possible profit. And you can’t grow the iPhone at the current sizes. Everyone

They could. I think it would be nice if they would choose to. I doubt they lost money on it. I’m guessing they just “didn’t make enough“ and decided it would be more profitable to spend that money elsewhere. I will say as a software develop

Yeah, I wish they would go back to live, or at least parts of it live. They did a great job during the pandemic but it has lost some humanity and authenticity.

That’s not a brand new folding phone. Those start at $1900 MSRP from what I see. However, you can get them a few hundred cheaper. Some of them cost even more than Apple. People have been saying “Oh my God, who would pay $600 for a phone“ fo

I trust Apple likely did better, though they’ve made bad decisions before (Studio Display camera). My biggest worry is the lack of Face ID. I love Face ID so much. I know I can do the Apple Watch unlock, but I don’t want to. I just want my

Why in the world do you think that? It’s an email that came out in discovery for a lawsuit. It’s absolutely him. Because he doesn’t talk like this in public? I promise you no big executives talk the same in public as they do internally.
