To go quite a bit off topic. The author says that he starts with a single html file and splits it or incrementally adds stuff when needed. That course of action has proven to be a really bad idea on every non trivial web project I worked o

Scams and fraud are just a part of human live. Look at old advertising and all the literal snake oil that used to be sold. I think it is jus the internets effect to make everything more discoverable and new schemes enabled by new technology

No sure what the purpose of this really is. But the pricing seems bizzare. Hetzner cloud costs 1€ per extra TB (20 included) while this costs 2$ per Gb. That is an order of magnitude so what am I paying for?

Loosely related: The German name of Magpie is Elster. They are known for liking and 'acquiring' shiny things like coins. The German online portal for tax declaration is called Elster as well. Apparently it stands for ELektronische

I gave up thinking about working live of SSDs. While I know that SSDs will die eventually, this has yet to happen to any of my private drives. Some of my drives are over 10 years old and still work something unheard of when it comes to rota

I had one when i was 6 or so. While it was somewhat fun it was best in combination with a cassette deck to record the random noise to make an even worse cacophony. I learned nothing from it and at some point it disappeared, probably due to

I disagree and would say DSLs should go away if possible. DSLs like SQL are the norm and you can see the problem of them in basically every project. You either use ORMs or you end up hand rolling SQL rows into Structs or Classes. The whole
