Not sure, but could be true if you look at the antics of Faeser and her bizarre ideas of general surveillance, backdoors and the like.
Maybe it would be good if he does not get replaced by someone, who could do more harm by talking less bs and actually doing something bad.
At least all that talk about cyber cyber nonsense does not do much apart from wasting tax money and creating mountains of paper.
Imho it is a really bad idea that the BSI is subordinate to the ministry of interior which also is in control of police and the Verfassungschutz.
Both institutions which are somewhat influential and usually pro surveillance everything, regardless the cost, technical feasibility and compliance with civil rights.
If you look at the debates around Stasi 2.0, Zensursula and Vorratsdatenspeicherung it is easy to see that those really need someone to keep them in check.

- YorkshireSeason 4y agoQuite possible. Neither Faeser, vdLeyen nor Arne Schönbohm are technical, so they will simply push whatever their side is trying to achieve. The EU is also pushing hard for backdoors into all messaging platforms, and Faeser / vdLeyen do what the EU wants.
