I believe you are doing it wrong. I do not version control my IntelliJ project files, at least with Maven you don't need them in your VCS, if, and only IF I need to checkout a new copy into another computer I just re-create the project

I am speaking generally, everytime I try to compare them to gas or diesel cars I don't have data for the EVs, if you could provide the data for the ones you have I would appreciate.

I disagree, first of all I already have multiple monitors, and while my IDE is maximized on my main monitor, the secondary monitor has multiple windows with documentation, file manager and logs, or other stuff depending on what I am working

My first thought too, being an Intellij IDEA user (and mostly java developer) I was annoyed with that affirmation. I had the need to use Visual Studio recently and I can say it is still light years behind Intellij.

There is no best, there is a specific distro you will like using and find a better fit for your needs. Take this example, some years ago I tried Debian, SuSe, Mandrake, and a few others, ended up using Gentoo and it is still my distro of ch

I would say that it is because each time ToString() is called a new string is created, and at least in the Java I believe that is what will happen, comparison will be false because they are not the same instance.
