I don't see anything about that in the .org or adjacent .el file, but it could be an outdated (or just as-yet-unseen) reference to using a community overlay of emacs-next that rolls back from breaking changes.

I've been working with local models as agents, and anyone interested in trying this needs to know about llama.ccp's "gammers" feature. You can force the model's output to conform to a specific structure, which is no

I've tried running a few open source apps like this locally, sometimes it's as simple as standing up a Mock OpenAI endpoint but if they use fancy features like embeddings endpoints then it can be more complicated. The quality is g

There are puzzle levels like the round table, where you must retrieve the grail from the center of the table (>= ~14 tiles in) and return the way you came-- a deceptively tough task for the unprepared

I have a Topping MX3, initially loved how knob feels but it bothered me that the tactile feedback didn't actually line up with the adjustments... mostly use the remote now anyways, which is great

What makes you think so? Have you had or heard of someone having issues like that before? FFIW, you could probably install Arch (from a TTY, like in the old days :p) with the an Ubuntu kernel and any firmware that was loaded-in at runtime f

Maybe you mean "openess" in an "in-browser inspectable" sense, ie. "open web" as in "Gopher & Gemini", but if you mean "open" as in "open-source" then there actually some folks

For something more playful, I'd happily reccomend the Secret History of Western Esotericism Podcast. We tend to focus on arguments and theories that either entered the mainstream long-term or were prescient in retrospect, but many phil

You can use crypto to pay eg. notable VPN providers, or to make all sorts of donations, but one of the issues facing crypto for a service like this is that you can't automate monthly payments (at least, not in a standardized and broadl

I learned to solder while building a keyboard and flashing IOT devices earlier this year, and can't recommend Pine64's Pinecil Soldering Iron highly enough (just be sure to pick up a capable power-source while you're there).

Thanks! Funnily enough, I don't think this matches the approach I tried from some GH issue back in the day :p And of course, we'd still need to reimplement many of the existing systemd-based modules. I wonder if the creation and m

That's true to some extent, but I think the real reason for the coupling is because that's just IBM's use-case and worldview. Cockpit is essentialy a wrapper over systemd commands, and one commentor has demonstrated how it co

Love it-- but since I'm not using systemd, it's a no-go. Would love to see it support more diverse systems, but last I checked it's pretty tightly coupled and I'm not sure who would have the bandwidth to adapt it.
