So far, it looks like they are supported by VC funds. I can't find any info on how they intend to become profitable but a few comments, drawn from memory, suggest they are expecting to fund with ads and a couple of people have suggeste

Wouldn't that be easy to foil? I can, and do, write with different styles that depend on the audience I'm trying to reach. I'm reasonably sure I could write entirely unlike my normal writing and appear to be a completely diff

I'd also add that I don't know anyone capable of always being unbiased. At best, it seems like we can acknowledge our biases and try to counter them, but I've never met anyone who can do so constantly. It's like the test

I don't want to be too specific, but one of the best 'cooks' that I've known was the ADA and now holds a higher elected position. Cooks, for those who don't know, turn coke into crack, a smokable form. She would do

Yeah, people were mad at some of my comments during the OWS phase. They were making comments about stuff like hanging and shooting the 1%. I'd point out that, if they were online, in Slashdot or Fark, in a home with regular power, and

Sort of related, there are a lot of lessons learned and observations made when one changes social class. At some point in my life, I've been close to both extremes. I've been a poor college student with a family and just barely be

There is so much right in the above three posts that I'd vote twice, if I could. The wealthy buy drugs from people who drive nice sports sedans and wear suits, or similar. They aren't down at the crack house giving blowjobs for di

It was a well known policy. It was clearly stated in plain language, just as I say it here. I hired professionals, adults. I expect them to be adults. I'll put up with a lot. Dishonesty is not on that list, however.

Could UPX put something in the header that said something akin to, 'I am not a signifier of malware, perform your check on the internal contents instead.' Then AV companies could see that and not flag it as malware unless they had

That's fine on a personal level. Well, not fine but forgivable. In business, that's not acceptable. My reputation is impacted (was, technically, as I'm retired) by the acts of other people. Lies, in business, is also known as

D'oh. I had looked up, previously, to find out that felons can usually vote and extrapolated Maine to be the same as the rest, with regards to voting while incarcerated. My bad, the rest is correct however. I know Maine allows it, and

If others don't know, the K is for kernel. I had guessed that it was, but decided to look it up. I figure this may save others some time. It looks pretty neat, conceptually. It loads the kernel into a random location in memory on boot.

True, but OP mentioned fun. It's also true that more wealth doesn't seem to make me happier, in and of itself. It does mean I have much less stress. That makes me more content, which some might call happiness.
