Yeah, there's at least one comment in there to fit most stereotypes. They range from disbelief to saying the product is no different than other products. There are price complaints to comments that don't seem to even understand -

I am not sure I understand, so I will defer to you. My understanding was that independent game authors were writing games and making cartridges for these games which they then sold. If I am understanding you correctly, somewhere in this cha

Right, my bad. I read that as congress. I'm nit sure why I missed the specificity, considering I read it twice and then looked up the information on Wikipedia. My bad, indeed.

Most States don't take away your right to vote if you are convicted of a felony. Felons get to vote and can even, more often than not, vote while incarcerated. To vote while incarcerated, they use absentee ballots from the district whe

In Maine, at least, third parties actually have a good chance at being elected. In the past few decades, we have elected Independents for governor quite frequently. The Green Party has a respectable turnout, as well. Once in a while, we get

As for verbiage, you may want try the phrase you later used in a follow up post. It's not really your personal data. After all, it was data from an interaction with another entity which makes it their data as well. So, personally ident

My guess is that the copyright is for the whole body of work, and not just for the single file. The copyright notice in the single file is probably not a requirement from a legal standpoint and is merely indicative.

Yeah, we've all got comments from our past that we wish we'd not made. Our seemingly brilliant insights aren't so brilliant after all. Today's thread about Musk's "Hyperloop" is good fodder to bookmark and

I never tell people that they 'need' to do something, so I'll say I highly suggest you do. So, to make it easier for you - I've grabbed a laptop and dug out the link: https://tech.slashdot.org/story/

One of my favorites is on Slashdot. If you go there and search for 'VMware' then you can find it. When VMware was first announced and demoed, the commenters at Slashdot declared things like it was fake, it was stupid, it was a was

You may have missed one of my posts. I think we can both agree that certain people should be excluded from owning firearms. Because of the risks involved, I'm very much in favor of testing for competency, safety, security, and sanity.

We are pretty sure about that entropy thing. I'm not sure I'd bet against it. It'd also be a very, very long wait. I imagine any more immediate death is preferable. It's going to be cold and lonely when the lights go out

When hunting bears, it's prudent to carry a sidearm. Bears will sometimes stay really still, appearing as if they're dead, and will attack when you get close enough. (That situation counts for every black bear attack in Maine sinc
