I didn't watch the video. Like the sibling post, I can't imagine too many people meandering around with a helmet on, unless the task requires a helmet. Even those tasks don't always get people wearing a helmet. The picture lo

I am quite fond of the mobile workstations from Titan. They are a bit heftier, but I'm okay with that. You can customize them into real beasts.

I am not sure I want hard components located inside a helmet. I was hit on my motorcycle, head on, and Superman-ed into the car that had crossed into my lane. The helmet saved my life, quite probably. It was so effective that Buell wanted i

Signs are very expensive. They require special paint that has to reflect a specific amount of light. They must be of fairly exact specs, requiring proprietary fonts, and are often low volume and customized. There is also the installation, w

Most of us do stupid things. Some of us just get caught. I worked in detention, at a military facility. There was a sign where we went from the staff area to the secure area. It read, 'There but by the grace of God go I.' I'm

They let them out because they believe they are no longer a threat. That's different than what people call their debt, in that it is just a portion of the total debt. If not obvious, I don't agree with that sentiment. I think pris

When I do that, I try to do the opposite of what it seems everyone else does. Namely, I try to give away the good books. It seems most want to keep the good books and give away the not so good books. I try to give away books that I'd w

LibreOffice added the ribbon earlier this year. It's optional and not the default. Also, I understand most users like the ribbon in MS Office. Most vocal people appear not to, but I recall an article about a survey and most ranged from

I'll say that Ishmael is something that is a bit different every time I read it. No, obviously the words are the same every time. But, each time, I take something different away. I think that only the first time did I take away what th

Yeah, I tend to just get up and go on long journeys. I try to make them mean something more than just engaging in wanderlust. It has given me the chance to see the world and meet many, many people. I wish I'd more replies from my book

That's a horrible idea. Not everyone is going to output the same amount of work, some will legitimately be more prolific than others. I sort of agree with the sentiment, but artificial limitations doesn't seem like a good idea.

On one of my trips, I bought a number of copies of a few books and left them in random places as I drove, more or less randomly, around the country. I put an email address in each one, along with a quick note. I got exactly one response. I
