A bit hyperbolic in their narration. I think the ones here talking about how addictive it was and how you keep reaching for it bring more to the table. I deleted my account and removed it from Firefox's quick link. I also uninstalled I

I deleted my reddit account, 12+ years are no more. It was hard, but that way I will not go back to it. Comparing it with twitter, which I never left because I was never there to start will be hard. *yeah, I have a twitter account. It'

The decisions that reddit has taken were not affecting me for now. The new ui was horrible for my use case (text subreddits and focusing on the debate) so I was a old.reddit user. But the way the direction is going, and some experiences in

It may depend on the company. On some it might be an architect level engineer who also manages the team. In others it'll be nothing more than a middle manager that only will see code on their spare time. And it can be everything in bet

I'm a manager now and it was a lateral move from development, no salary increase. So yeah, sometimes managers earn around the same as the top people they manage. Heck, I wouldn't mind earning less than some of the most brilliant o

If I had more energy and time I would try to set my computer so that I could perform most of anything with keyboard only. My wrists are the reason. More than 10 years ago they started to hurt, so I became a left handed mouse user at work. A

One aspect in which one can see that we are still in an immature field is seeing how "the new thing" is always valued more than the stablished one, and how language books are more recommended than works that intend to be foundatio

When I was younger I wanted to live forever, nowadays I'm more at peace with the idea of death. There are a couple of things that make death bearable. Any longevity treatment should placate the first and we should aim to compensate the
