I got one, this is my first Kindle. I am incredibly impressed than they produced something like this proced at $79 dollars. Instant delivery of thousands of book, supposed 2 months of battery life, extremely light, fits in my pocket. This i

This makes sense to me. Many people, including myself, just dump icons on the desktop. Every time I open the start menu it seems like I am digging forever to find what I want.

I have invested a lot of time into sivlerlight app. I think the best possible outcome is that Windows 8 Metro will support silverlight natively and silverlight apps will be sold in the app store. I always thought of silverlight as a stalkin

I blame Pret A Manger. They have been doing this for years, I think the goal has been to make you think it is not a store, but a collection of foodstuffs curated a manic pixie dream girl, and oh yeah, you can totes buy the bananna bread! It

Facebook and Zynga are pretty much symbiotic now so Zynga has serious leverage, but any chance Facebook will start locking up smaller developers with exclusive deals?

This is awesome, but how do they deal building with crazy security. Would I still have to go all the way down to the building messenger center to pick up the food?

A company I worked for once installed a super secure magnetic locking system on a server room door. One day I tripped and fell, knocked into the door and it popped right open. Must have been a pretty weak magnet.

Yeah,Silverlight seems more and more to be a dead end for "rich internet applications" but it has been pretty good for LOB apps. I can take the logic out of winforms apps and I no longer have to roll application updates to thousands of desk

Right, from the sheer scope of the raids I'm sure they thought they were dealing with some sort of syndicate, probably professional criminals branching out. They were absolutely dumbfounded, they didn't know whether to slap the cuffs on me

I was busted in much the same way in the early 90s in NYC. Yes, it was the only realistic part of the movie. It is a bit frightening to be woken up by a man pointing a shotgun in your face when you are 13. IIRC, there was a well known NYC h

I've seen many people let go where it was a complete shock to them. One day they are cranking, next day they are out one the street. The problem is management often does not want to give warnings, or talk about how the employee can improve.
