Sidetopic, but I am rather disappointed that Venmo has been pressuring me via email to embrace crypto and imagine behind the scenes they own however much, trades only get executed internally, and they do their best to extract transaction fe

I see this pretty frequently in manufacturing. Oftentimes, larger products will have curves, design changes, layering complexities, and judgment calls that simply can’t be performed via machine, further, the parts will come in at different

Would you mind describing the parts that became automated? I can think of a number of appliances that could potentially be api-driven but haven’t researched them yet....

The article mentioned how difficult it is for minimum wage workers to find rentals. I wish it had also included the percentages of workers making minimum wage or less over the last 10 years. A common counter argument is that people should

Given when they started, I imagine they’ve bid on a fairly high percentage of the sales in the last 5 years and had an impact on the prices and perceived value of the housing market.

Can you elaborate on “innovated on a scale existing space companies haven’t in decades...”? I’m not aware of anything they did that couldn’t have been done elsewhere provided the resources were dedicated and am curious of the significance.

My interpreting of the use of the word “toxic” is that there is an unbridgeable communication and understanding gap between generations when it comes to professional opportunities. In 2009, I had someone in the older generation tell me tha

I think a common approach is “I know this job is garbage but if I can last 18 months, my resume will look much better”.....or.....”maybe my manager will be alright and the bad stories will be less relevant”

Perhaps this is what Bezos meant when he said that rather than talking about work-life balance, he’d rather think of things as a circle.

Seems like they are both getting legal attention, just separately. I wonder if the magnitude of these cases is better handled by 2 teams at once to speed them up?

Pretty soon Microsoft will introduce us to the P# language and have intro courses for those that don't want to deal with all that math stuff, with free credits for Azure.

Reminds me of how a few places I’ve worked momentarily embraced Tableu with open arms after seeing a US revenue heat map built by dragging and dropping (carefully groomed data).

My approach was to allocate 2 weeks for even the most basic things because unknowns always creep in and a tighter schedule tends to make those things creep in even more. Also, many of the requests had no particular urgency to begin with.

I think it’s possible to find high level athletes that take a variety of approaches towards nutrition. I’ve always found Michael Phelps approach interesting although I wouldn’t recommend it (or a scaled down version of it) https:/
