I’d opt for a clear contractual agreement that could be entered and exited, or a paid alternative priced fairly. Same with the phone, one shouldn’t pay for a phone in cash (or payment plan) and continue to pay indefinitely with personal dat

I’m a little disappointed it got renamed as “climate change” because that phrase doesn’t have the same level of urgency to it although it is technically more accurate.

From a cost/opportunity cost standpoint, it’s an enormous decision. I wonder what those numbers look like. In general though I’m pretty biased towards boring things that work correctly as long as possible.

Given that there is a fairly limited number of car renters, I’d imagine that they share data on customers that over-use services. Such practices exist in banking, retail, and hospitality.

Not enough full stack developers with 10 years of experience willing to work for 75k, “possible equity”, and catered lunches on a “fast-paced high-growth” project that just completed a series A. (actually saw this description)

One of the measures/trackers is the various spreadsheets that get opened. This certainly hurts the employees that have automated those aspects of their jobs. One of my initial roles had me inherit 15 different spreadsheet reports and

I would sooner have security negligence be criminalized as there are a number of products that are critical to the economy and peoples health. Having a companies systems get wiped out can have a monumental amount of collateral damage.

I feel as though viable 3rd/4th parties in the US would create a more balanced environment. There are times that I abstain from voting because candidates aren’t aligned enough with my viewpoints.
