It's especially noticeable on the highway. A loud bike or car can be heard when it's in front of you, but if it's behind you it is practically silent, and that's the time when it would be useful to notice it.

Stock exhausts are not terribly loud, though it's hard to make something that's automobile-level quiet in a motorcycle sized package. I wouldn't be opposed to a noise restriction, provided it was implemented reasonably.

Your ascii diagram wraps terribly on an 80 column screen, which is the typical width for a text display.

To be fair to latex, the majority of hypertext examples don't do any of those things either.

I set up my domain and email server only a couple years ago and it works well, but like some of the others here who've reported success, I'm not running a big operation.

Solaris developers have an unhappy history with CLAs, you are unlikely to see them in that community ever again.

Like a union strike-breaker. The group has less bargaining power if there are people who will work anyway.

Surely there is a difference between the two. React is open source and you could have solved your problem yourslef or hired someone to do it. What can a Linux user do about proprietary hardware other than complain to the manufacturer?

Good suggestion. I was thinking the same thing. A cheap radio, eggbeater antenna, and gpredict will get you started. No need for a license just to see if you can hear one, but once you do, you'll probably want to get one. Luckily satel

There are other OSes and affected companies beyond the ones who were chosen to receive advance warning. Imagine how it would work out in your airbag analogy if only Toyota and GM knew, and they withheld information for months while they wor

I really dislike the term "responsible disclosure" in this context. I might consider it responsible to notify a software vendor about a vulnerability in their software so they have a chance to issue a fix to their customers before

In spectre, the victim process is coerced (via branch misprediction, in their first example) to speculatively access its own memory, resulting in side-effects that you can measure to determine the memory contents. No violation of memory pro

Give people some credit. The name is not confusing. It's called SunDown because it's part of the author's larger project, SunSed.

And then you have to remove the search for "f" from your history or else it will try to autocomplete it in the future. I hate that! Happens to me all the time.
