Why is there a case at all and not "here is a list of contraband seized at the border" ? I would assume the legal procedure is what determines what actually happens to the object. Just like the police arrest people but don'

I recently received my first framework laptop after being a loyal Thinkpad user for years. I get excited about different laptops occasionally...and then I remember that I won't have a trackpoint if I switch to a different brand, and

In that case, just don't sweat it. It's all billable. The budget for these projects won't support that. Billing an hour of lunch everyday just for myself would exceed the retainer allotted for some of these projects. And it

For the truly average developer, $200K is definitely not the norm according to any compensation data I've seen. One issue in this community is its members being unable to understand what "average developer" actually means.

That ExxonMobile link has 3 of 20 salaries being an amount above $122k and only 1 at $200k. So, even in your cherry-picked examples one of the companies only has a single person making this "mid-career salary".

And maybe even more commonly on Twitter I just see people taking screenshots of tweets. Screenshots of tweets seems like the worst way to "archive" them, since the screenshot can be trivially faked.

Most of these 'college debt is out of control' stories being pushed in the press, are usually focusing on outliers - i.e. people that borrowed $250K for multiple useless majors and now work at Starbucks because they chose badly.
