That's the thing. I was pretty self-aware and I still made those choices. Imagine how much worse it is for people who don't even know what they're doing to themselves. They'll just keep pushing on ahead while their mind

I've been there. Once you start thinking to yourself that there is no long term future ahead of you, the kind of choices you make becomes almost like a sick joke. Buy some fruit and vegetables to eat so that you can feel nourished and

This is hugely underrated. My room's poorly insulated so when it's hot, it's like a microwave in here and when it's cold, I can feel it to my bone (I remember almost crying some nights in 2018 because it was so cold). Th

As an Asian male, dating prospects in the US for us weren't ever good anyway, but this pandemic may be the death sentence/nail in the coffin for us.

For me, it feels like I've fallen face flat into a puddle of doubt. Yes, believing in some particular idea and putting it to practice felt great at the time, but now the science has said it's bullshit and I'm wrong for beli

Isn't it obvious that dark retreats as light approaches? :) That's why you are downvoted, despite not writing anything even remotely offensive or wrong.

Anyone else tired of learning and internalizing cool new concepts and then those ideas you had come to adopt and believe in gets debunked/disproven soon after? Might be better just to not believe anything so you don’t get betrayed anym

I've been training at home since before the quarantine and simply continued what I was doing, so I'm not sure if I can say I'm getting healthier in quarantine when I would've had the same results regardless. I'll sa

How do we select for normal, non-sociopath humanoids for political office?

That’s probably the worse example to use for your argument. Britain is a place where cops will come to your door to investigate over non-death threat tier posts on Twitter.

Pretty much every time I've installed a fresh Firefox, all the telemetry is enabled by default. Opt out instead of opt in. Surprising considering what they sell themselves as.

Yeah, they have to fire him and then hire someone else. That costs time and money. Then he can make some noise about it and get media attention on his firing. If this happens enough times, perhaps corporations may be incentivized to change

The less fortunate employees still have to pay rent. With your approach, now there's just less people in the company who could have fought for them from within.

I started using a computer and playing games around elementary school too, and even I'm not a programming wizard now. Since I was more about playing games, and following random instructions to get my games to work, I gained familiarity

This might work for some people but for me, if by 1AM, I'm not sleepy and I get out of bed to do something else, there's probably no chance I'll sleep at any reasonable time and then be able to wake up at a time like 7AM. I w

I started having trouble around there too, at 10 and 11. I had to settle for 2 star solutions. I knew I could spend all night trying to do all this (3 stars or nothing) so I called it quits.
