Sounds really great! I appreciate you put an App out there so we can try it out ourself and not just read a paper or watch a video. I tried it, but unfortunately my old HTC Wildfire is so slow that it becomes unusable. I was able to take a

Bilal, I just want to thank you whole hearty for your, and your teams, effort! I'm a Phd student in engineering, where as far as I can tell, it is even worse. I love academia, but the fact that we don't even attempt to live up to the standa

Oh boy, the greatest adventure ever and 95% percent of the world's engineers have to watch -and all they can do is root and hope, because they are not american citizens. Heck, if only there was a new Operation Paperclip [1], people would s

I would say, the price difference adjusted budget of NASA is also much bigger than that of any other nation. Do you see the Russians walking on the moon or driving nuclear cars on Mars?

Awesome. So essentially, SpaceX will go ahead and add an escape and life support system to dragon. Plus, they will use the escape thruster for ground touchdown as well!

Sure, for a billion per flight you can more than double check even the most abstruse piece of that nightmare construction. Wings for instance, which we all know are super important for a spacecraft.

Thanks a bunch! I wasn't aware of SmartGIT. Already send it out to my co-workers. Let's see how they like it.

I agree, SourceTree is very nice. Personally, I prefer the command line (with bash bindings like gc for git commit) but I use SourceTree for visualisation which I find much nicer than the one git, github or bitbucket (also Atlassian) offer.

Very interesting but I was expecting something else when I read the title. I was hoping there will be packages that are useful for programers. For instance, I'd love to see a good C# package. I tried to install a emacs-lisp script manually

I always thought, or at least hoped, that the economy of scale will allow $0.99 software to be profitable. That software would be so cheap, that you don't think even twice. But because millions do the same, the developers can still become r

Right. So maybe, the ideal education material is more what was imagined in the past. An interactive book with quizzes including videos and high-res pictures in the places where it makes sense.

Right. And, actually, some people who "cheat" might help Dropbox even more. It used to be quite a common "trick" to pay for Google Ads that link to your personal Dropbox referral link.

Thanks. That really is simple (and beautiful)! I wonder though, isn't it hard for your wrist after a while when you can't rest your lower arm on the desk?

by FrojoS 14y ago
So do I, and I think 99% of all Dropbox users at some point. Why then, don't they do it? I think, its because this makes getting "free additional space" so very attractive. You envite lots of friends and colleges in order to grow to a few G

Sounds interesting! Can you show a picture maybe? If I get you right, you use your chair as a desk. That chair is sitting on a normal desk, so combined the height is appropriate for working while standing. Right?

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your personal observation. Do you have a standing desk or a new job? For how many years do you sit less now?

I have the exact same question. I use magnetometers with IMU's as part of my research and temporal disturbances of the magnetic field are a huge problem. Anyway, this new method sounds awesome. Thanks for posting!
