Winco fish spatula. Super flexy and thin. I can now make eggs the way I like them (over easy, zero browning) without destroying the egg or chasing it around the skillet like when I use bigger spatulae. Plus also much better for fish, oddly

A long time ago, naive me learned that tech companies also invest their money and that those returns count toward their valuation, and that seems wildly backwards to me, but I'm an engineer, not a financial expert.

Even if the claims are valid it is still Windows/Linux only and ignores the cost of getting M1 customers to leave macOS which is like trying to get a linux user to switch to Windows .... not bloody likely. Maybe they are trying to get

I agree with your sentiment and also understand that this won't stop the world's thirst for a commodity (see: dole bananas, hersey chocolate, all mined gemstones, and dinosaur juice). If we really are a global economy I would like

This article is a great example of how to draw conclusions from changing data, and how to call out the sources of uncertainty at every turn. I think a few were missed based on the comments below but I don't think that was done out of n

What I remember most of mine was the smell of the exhaust: a bit like overdone cheeseburgers. Let's talk about Estes model rocket D-size engine bazookas. Because that's where the 70's really shined.

I ran little snitch for about a week years ago and there were hundreds of thousands of requests just from typical apple services so trying to curate that list was an exercise in futility. It's a nice GUI but not a useful tool. Plus the

I was curious how this person was paying US$0.22/kWh when that is 2x Oregon, and found this interesting table: https://www.chooseenergy.com/electricity-rates-by-state/ Not sure how accurate it is, but what is up w

I will never understand why people like you start fights in disingenuous attempts at discussion, with practically know knowledge of the topic. I guess I fell for your trolling. Well done.

I drove around New Mexico four years ago and there are a number of ghost towns between Las Cruces and Roswell, these are towns that have nothing but boarded up buildings and no people. A waiter in a restaurant explained to me that once the

I think that's the hot take here. $150k/yr for that much work and future instability compared to an office job with a ton of benefits... Hmmmm... For non-techies maybe this is the golden goose, but for people in the tech world for

There is an experience to using a UI (bad colors make for a bad experience), but it is not UX. Totally different. Here's how it Don Norman makes the distinction: there is no medium to UX. That's a fairly large conceptual differe

Biggest problem is any of these can be rehearsed and the best interviews are spontaneous ones where the person opens up into uncharted authentic territory vs canned responses. Of these, I've only been asked questions 5-9 back circa 199
