DOGE has shown how screwed up the balance between the 3 branches has gotten. The executive should have the power to fire/remove executive associated departments/employees, obviously. The executive should not be able to authorize d

I read the entire article and it doesn't mention what this "key" US tech agency even does.

First thing I noticed on API and Chat for it is THIS THING IS FAST. That alone makes it a huge upgrade to o1-pro (not really comparable I know, just saying). Can't imagine how much I'll get done with this type of speed.

Cool to see the work Adept Ai mention a few years back come to life. Given how much work is going into "safety", I wonder if this is a field in which less safe open source could overtake the premium models.

Where's the smoking gun for these privacy issues? Why hasn't the FBI or anyone else investigated and discovered these issues, if they exist?

The sitting president of the United States of America was banned by almost every major AMERICAN company, and even some Canadian companies (Shopify), yet we're going after Tiktok. No Chinese ever banned the sitting president of the Unit

“They’re solving a problem that didn’t exist.” The crux of the problem right there. Always approach startups as "what problem can I solve?".

We were sold on H1-B's being extraordinary people working extraordinary jobs that Americans cannot fulfill, not a wage suppression indentured servitude program.

Given the average IG comment, a 300m parameter model should suffice.

1) Raise the minimum salary to 200k+. Anything else is indentured servitude/downwards wage pressure. 2) Remove the family extension. 80k/year shouldn't end up being 500k/year.

Creating somewhat complex python scripts at work to automate some processes which incorporate like 3-4 APIs, and next I'll be replacing our excise tax processing (which costs us like $500/month) since we already have all the data.

Not simply usage, the new o1 is also FAST. It's just incredibly liberating being able to have unlimited usage of such a smart fast model.

After a few hours of $200 Pro usage, it's completely worth it. Having no limit on o1 usage is a game changer, where I felt so restricted before, the amount of intelligence at the palm of my hand UNLIMITED feels a bit scary.

This is why Trump wants to repeal the chip act. A company like Intel should not survive in the free market, and now will be propped up by the government while remaining inefficient.

Been using LLMs since got3 beta in June 2021 and it’s interesting to see how my use cases have continuously been upgraded as models advanced. Started off with having it create funny random stories, to slowly creating more and more advanced

FYI, the map looks horrendous for democrats after the 2030 census. Estimates give Texas +4, Florida +3, and various other southern states +1 for a total of +12 on solid red states.
