Physical work can be fun too! Neither as much when you're a slave of course.

I've been using it for 'easy' queries like syntax/parameter questions, in place of ChatGPT 4. It's great for that. I am using a ~48GB version.

Here's an original PNG exported from Stellarium. For the game this had to be reduced and compressed a lot: https://i.imgur.com/v3g219F.png Screenshot of how it looks in-game, this is Stellarium-generated and shown as

Thank you. Right now it's a just explorable small section of Colorado. The premise is a post-earth world where players build up villages around trade, inspired by Ultima Online.

I used Stellarium to generate the realistic (but somewhat over exaggerated clarity) skies for my web game. The day/night cycle only shows stars at :50-00 of each hour: earth.suncapped.com. I'll edit into this comment a link to th

I think it's because the scammy techniques allow lower apparent princes. People who shop by price will end up at the scammy gym. Maybe people are sensitive to price when it comes to gyms, and/or the true cost of a gym membership

Thanks for mentioning this in a work context. It describes one of my parents, with the results you'd expect. Do you remember any of the thoughts or techniques you used to shake it?

I did this with 24GB VRAM and 32GB DDR5, using LM Studio, and it was about as fast as I could read. (I read fast but I'd have to run it again to guess the token rate.) I'm upgrading to 96GB RAM now to run the larger models, but I

The article mentions this choice being made in 2018. I don't know the ML industry, but as a gamedev I had been mystified about Nvidia's strategy since about 2018. It felt like they weren't leaning into crypto, which surprise

I'm just disappointed that people go along with takeovers of useful words: x, meta, alphabet. If one was renamed "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" would people still go along with it? What's the limit?

Maybe it depends on what you're prototyping. In web dev I see what you mean. But in game dev I'm often prototyping something to see if it works at all, or to check its performance. Ignoring types is faster when spending 1-2 hour

The prices don't match the value except as a luxury item. Maybe that was a switch to make cars more profitable? I see little appeal in a new car. Huge money sink, long waiting lists, sketchy dealers, sketchy warranties, software-base

It's a requirement for any game that needs a reliable frame rate. Unpredictable delays during frame rendering cause jank. (This is not to say the OP has any such issues in its context.)
